Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

These are definitely a family favorite in our home. Whether we have peanut butter cookie lovers or just Hershey's Kiss lovers, this cookie has something for everyone in our family AND they are incredibly easy to make.

Ingredients

Your favorite Hershey's Kiss candies. (I used milk chocolate and hot cocoa for these)

1 cup shortening

1 3/4 cup  creamy peanut butter

2/3 cup packed light brown sugar

2/3 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

4 tbsp milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

3 cup flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

Optional- extra sugar.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Remove kisses from wrappers.

  1. Mix together shortening, eggs, brown sugar, 2/3 cup granulated sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla until creamy.
  2. In separate bowl, mix together, flour, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix.
  4. After ingredients are mixed, roll into 1 inch balls and then dip the tops into the extra sugar. Place onto greased cookie sheet, sugar side up.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Once pulled from oven, immediately press kisses into center of cookie.
  7. Move cookies to cookie rack. Let cool, then eat.

About Me

My photo
Hello! My name is Brittany and I'm a writer, obviously. As a stay-at-home mom, there are many things that I have to figure out in order to run a house that appears to be more sane than insane. It's not easy to be a parent and I hope that this blog is able to encourage other moms out there to live life happily and to understand that there can be mishaps along the way, but those mishaps don't define you and anything can be overcome with perseverance and will.
